Mr Piggott - during your time in the Netherlands, did you ever visit the Bible Belt? Many people who aren’t familar with the country don’t realise there is a strong Calvinist minority who are quite socially conservative in comparison with wider Dutch society, often supporting the Reformed Political Party (SGP), a political party that adheres to the Sabbath by making their official website unavailable on a Sunday, opposing abortion and euthanasia, and is the only party in the country to support capital punishment is uneasy with women’s suffrage.

As a Sedevacantist, I know you are quite hostile towards Protestantism, but I would be interested to hear your thoughts (if you have any) on the Dutch Bible Belt and whether you have a sneaking respect for the inhabitants, despite your countless theological differences. I’m aware that many hardline Calvinists who reside in these areas have a strong antipathy towards vaccination and ignored the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in the country by attending church, regardless of the legal consequences. The birthrates in the SGP-supporting, Calvinist town of Urk are quite high, producing a youthful population:

‘‘In 2021, 44 per cent of Urk's population was under the age of 25. This made Urk the demographically youngest municipality of the Netherlands. Number two in the country was Staphorst, another Calvinist society nearby.’’
