As I stated in a comment in one of your older posts, a large portion of people who describe themselves as ‘right-wing’ are basically 1990s liberals who don’t like the excesses of their ideology and bizzarely think the 90s were some sort of halcyon time, ignoring the social damage that was already inflicted and developing during that decade. I’ve been in heated discussions with people who mingle within the ‘Dissident Right’ sphere who react badly when I forward the view that the 1990s weren’t a great decade. Even when I point out the high levels of divorce, the debasing standards in media, ‘rave culture’, NAFTA, European Union expansion and the poor standards in education, I am accused of being ‘jealous’ that I missed out on the ‘last decade of sanity’.

Unfortunately, the belief that ‘Zoomers are more right-wing’ than previous generations is nonsense. The vast majority of young people (especially males) subject themselves to violent video games (conservatives used to oppose such material; liberals opposed censorship claiming those who endorsed prohibition were ‘Puritans’), watch pornography, support marijuana legalisation and — with a few exceptions — would oppose repealing any ‘liberal’ policies that were implemented before they were born or took place during their formative years. These people are just nostalgic for their youth, refusing to evaluate the decade without emotional bias.

This relates strongly to my earlier point that most people who are considered ‘right-wing’ are basically 90s liberals who don’t like how ‘authoritarian’ ‘progressive politics’ has become. If the trejactory doesn’t improve, your ‘right-wing’ person in the 2050s would be a ‘2020s liberal’, insisting that Joe Biden was actually a ‘moderate, maybe a conservative’, similar to how Bill Clinton is praised today for ‘opposing illegal immigration’ during the 1990s and how John F Kennedy ‘wouldn’t recognise the modern, woke Democratic Party’.

I should also add that a ‘Catholic monarchy’ is right-wing. ‘Free trade’ and unregulated capitalism is historically associated with liberalism, not conservative or right-wing politics. This is why a majority of Tories supported the protectionist Corn Laws policy, whilst their liberal opponents the Whigs supported repeal.

This is a good chapter on how a proper ‘conservative’ society views economic policy: https://www.anthonymludovici.com/da_04.htm

In Canada the CONservatives voted in lock step with the illiberals on Bill C-4 which bans so called conversion therapy. It became Federal Law in 2022 and the penalty is up to 5 years in prison.

They now hang pride flags in elementary schools and have "rainbow clubs". These are kids aged 5-11. The only thing they need to know about sexual orientation is "girls have cooties". Let kids be kids! These degenerates cannot help but degrade and corrupt everything they touch.
